"MOVIE STAR: PEGGIE CASTLE was born in Appalachia."
Is there any available data that backs up the above assertion? If not, I believe it should go away until supporting data can be cited. --Takeel21:58, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please seeUser talk:Davins111 for a bit of discussion on the link tohttp://www.appalachiava.net/ in this article. I propose removing it and linking to the sites that are linked fromhttp://www.appalachiava.net/ instead.http://www.appalachiava.net/ appears to have little to no actual content of its own aside from links to other sites. --Takeel01:59, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the link. Unless it offers original content relevant to this article, it's an inappropriate link from this page.Fagstein19:16, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The website:http://www.appalachiava.net, is the Town of Appalachia, Virginia's official website. That link needs to be on the Appalachia, Virginia article.—The precedingunsigned comment was added by71.171.5.72 (talk •contribs) .
To: Takeel,The website domain is not registered through the town government, but the Town manager, gave the site owner approval of that website to be the town's official, if you think this is still false I can get the town manager to write a document on that.—The precedingunsigned comment was added by71.171.5.72 (talk •contribs) .
Hello,The town of Appalachia, Virginia just launched there new website today!
The website URL is no longer at appalachiava.net
The website address is:
http://www.townofappalachia.com (the website address may not work yet, but it will within 25 hours, since they just launched it)
You may contact the town hall... If you don't beleive this is correct.—The precedingunsigned comment was added by72.66.211.73 (talk •contribs).
Regarding the link to Yahoo News, the story originated fromAssociated Press. This is probably areliable source, so I reverted the edit that removed this reference. I hope that nobody minds. Thanks. --Takeel05:04, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We need to block the Appalachia, VA article, so that people that aren't users can't edit.
Thanks.—The precedingunsigned comment was added by208.19.254.226 (talk)15:14, 9 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Which photo is better suited for the infobox:File:Downtown Appalachia, Virginia.jpg, the established one, orFile:Appalachia downtown.jpg, which I've just uploaded?
Note to WP:3O visitor — there's no dispute here, but I requested outside input because I don't want to use my photo to replace what could reasonably be seen as a decent image. Like most articles about small towns, this has essentially no talk page activity (the last human edit was in 2013, and the last human edit that modified content, not article ratings, was just almost ten years ago. So basically I'm asking you to pick which image you like better and put it into the article. Sorry for using 3O, but{{requested edit}} didn't seem right (putting in the photo wouldn't be a WP:COI violation), and I couldn't think of anything better.Nyttend (talk)02:18, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
