This page is full of mis-information and requires a tidying. It has none of the appropriate templates or tags or whatever they are called. For example, if this is true it has no sources.
Abstinence from sexual activity results in a build-up of hormones, correlated with a feeling of well-being.

The above paragraph is rife with slanted language, italicized. It should be replaced with more neutral language.

Why do you believe these authorities emphasize abstinence as well as sobriety? Thia is a question that I have been asked by an instructor, I am not sure what he is asking for.I believe that it takes abstinence to maintain sobriety. Also that sobriety means not only abstaining but also changing ones thinking and behavior patterns.I do know that some people in the substance abuse treatment realm view sobriety as no necessarily abstaining but not overindulging. As an alcoholic I know that its an all or none process. It is not something that can be limited forever.Could you please help me to figure out what he is looking for? Actually,all of Christianity officially forbids premarital sex. Some denominations have worse problems with individuals ignoring the precept than others, but all have this precept which was taught by Jesus Christ himself. Abstinence doesn't only have sexual interpretations, it also has many other uses.The word abstinence is also used in the definition of an "Offer" in the Indian contract act 1872,http://www.indiankanoon.org/doc/420719/.This article shouldn't just have sexual interpretation as it may send in a wrong impression for those who are unaware of the meaning of the word.
