According to their website, (specificallythe "What to call us" section of this page, they are still known as California State Automobile Association, among other names. I'm adjusting copy to compensate. --Rickscholz --Rickscholz (talk)01:05, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As of late 2014, the webpage referenced above no longer exists. The new page (http://calstate.aaa.com/about-aaa/quick-facts -- note: link might only be accessible in N. CA, NV, and UT) says the following:
What to Call Us:
Regionally, we prefer to be identified as one of the following: AAA Northern California, AAA Nevada or AAA Utah. The name “American Automobile Association” is no longer used, simply “AAA.”Historically, we were known as the California State Automobile Association; however, that name is no longer used.
However, the copyright info at the bottom states © Copyright 1996-2013, AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah.
Shouldn't this article be renamed to AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah with a reference to the historical name?
