This has been proven (with exhaustive evidence) to have been a US led hoax and misinformation campaign; the same article mentions that the US itself admitted in three different secret cables that no shooting happened in the square. If Israel campaign in Gaza between 2022 and 2025 is not to be considered Genocide even with all the evidence, it makes perfect sense to maintain the word "massacre" in the title of this article, but then let's be honest and rekon that Wikipedia is just another propaganda vector.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a"change X to Y" format and provide areliable source if appropriate.Day Creature (talk)04:53, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply](non-native English speaker, sorry if I made mistakes)For parts of the article such as "goals of the protests" a clear distinction should be made between the workers' Tiananmen movment and the student's Tiananmen movment. Behind the facade unity the movment seemed to have, there was a real divergence of motives and goals between workers and students. They had similar claims but they didn't mean the same things.This article (https://lausancollective.com/2021/repressing-rebel-workers-of-tiananmen-square/) had a pretty good point proving it.
