Tails & Trotters was aPortland, Oregon-based pork company that operated abutcher shop in thenortheast Portland part of theKerns neighborhood until 2022. The shop was featured onDiners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

Description

Thebutcher shop was located in thenortheast Portland part of theKerns neighborhood. It sold various sandwiches,[1]paninis, andkebabs,[2] as well as meat products such as bacon, brisket, cutlets, ribs, and sausage.[3]

History

Tails & Trotters was established in 2007, and began operating from afarmers' market booth in 2009.[4] The business opened a "micro-restaurant" in late 2012.[5][6]

In 2017, the shop was damaged by an electrical fire.[7][8] Owners Aaron and Kelly Silverman announced plans to close in 2022 because of rising business costs and challenges caused by theCOVID-19 pandemic.[9]

Reception

Tails & Trotters was featured onDiners, Drive-Ins, and Dives[10] and recognized by theGood Food Awards.[11][9]
