Tabuan-Lasa, officially theMunicipality of Tabuan-Lasa (Tausūg:Lupah Tabuan-Lasa;Chavacano:Municipalidad de Tabuan-Lasa;Tagalog:Bayan ng Tabuan-Lasa), is amunicipality in theprovince ofBasilan,Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 29,327 people.[3]
Tabuan-Lasa was created out of the 12 barangays ofSumisip that were not onBasilan Island, throughMuslim Mindanao Autonomy Act No. 187,[5] which was subsequently ratified in aplebiscite held on March 29, 2008.[6]
Tabuan-Lasa is politically subdivided into 12barangays.[7] Each barangay consists ofpuroks while some havesitios.
