T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia 2, also known asTAL2, is aprotein which in humans is encoded by theTAL2gene.[5][6]

Function

[edit]

TAL2 is a member of thebasic helix-loop-helix family oftranscription factors.[7]

Clinical significance

[edit]

Tumor-specific alterations of the TAL2 gene occurs in some patients withT-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL).[6][8]
