Town of ancient Caria

Syrna (Ancient Greek:Σύρνα) was a town ofancient Caria.[1] According to Greek mythologyPodalirius, son ofAsclepius founded the place.[2] He named it after the Carian princess Syrna, daughter of Damaethus, whom he married her after he first healed her from a serious injury.[2]

Its site is located nearBayır,Asiatic Turkey.[1][3]
