Swedish (Ling) gymnastics was featured in theSummer Olympic Gamesdemonstration programme in1948.[1] The discipline was created byPehr Henrik Ling in the 19th century, and involved free-standing movements in formation.[2]
Two demonstrations were given by the Svenska Gymnastikforbundet, with 200 male and 200 female gymnasts.[3] No medals were awarded.[2]
