Surnadal Idrettslag is aNorwegian sports club fromSurnadal Municipality. It has sections forassociation football,team handball,alpine skiing andNordic skiing.
It was founded on 13 April 1913 asIL Framtid. The name Surnadal IL was taken in 1966, whenIL Framtid was merged withIL Bjørn (founded 1932) andSurnadal JIL (founded 1945).[2]
Members of the skiing department includeSturla Brørs andSigurd Brørs.[3][4]
The men's football team currently plays in the Fourth Division, the fifth tier of Norwegian football. Syltøran stadion is their home field. Their team colors are blue and white.
