SuperBrawl VI was the sixthSuperBrawlprofessional wrestlingpay-per-view (PPV)event produced byWorld Championship Wrestling (WCW). The event took place on February 11, 1996, from theBayfront Center inSt. Petersburg, Florida.
Themain event was asteel cage match betweenHulk Hogan andThe Giant. Hogan defeated Giant to win the match. This event markedBrian Pillman's final match in WCW; in his "I Respect You" Strap Match againstThe Taskmaster, Pillman shouted "I respect you,bookerman!", breakingkayfabe, before leaving the ring.
The event featured wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds andstorylines. On the February 4 episode ofMain Event, it was announced thatOne Man Gang would defend theUnited States Heavyweight Championship againstKonnan at SuperBrawl VI. Later that night, Konnan defeated OMG to win the title. The following night, onMonday Nitro, it was announced that the title match would remain at the SuperBrawl card with Konnan defending the title against OMG in a rematch.
