Babylonian king

Sumu-la-El (alsoSumulael orSumu-la-ilu) was a King in theFirst Dynasty of Babylon. He reigned c. 1880-1845 BC (MC).[1] He subjugated and conquered nearby cities likeKish and built a string of fortresses around his territory.[2][3] He is known to have conquered the city ofSippar.[4] Economic ties extended as far north asTilmen Höyük.[5] His daughter, Šallurtum, married Sin-kašid, the king ofUruk.[6]
