Sultan Mountains

Mountain range in Turkey

TheSultan Mountains (Turkish:Sultan Dağları), also known asSultan Dagh range orSultan Dag, is a shortmountain range on the western edge of theAnatolian Plateau,Turkey with highest elevation of 1,980 m (6,500 ft).

The town ofSultandağı is their namesake.

They are made up ofmetamorphic rocks dating from theLower Cambrian to theCarboniferous period.[1]

West slopes of Sultan Mountains are part of theLake Beyşehirdrainage basin.[1]
