Suits LA is an Americanlegal drama television series created byAaron Korsh forNBC. It is the second spin-off ofSuits and premiered on February 23, 2025.[1][2]

On October 12, 2023, it was announced that an untitledSuits spin-off series is in development, withAaron Korsh serving as the showrunner.[13] On February 1, 2024,Suits LA was given a pilot order byNBC. The pilot is written by Korsh and directed byVictoria Mahoney.[14][1] On December 28, 2023, it was reported that the spin-off would be set in Los Angeles.[15] On July 19, 2024,Suits LA was picked to series by NBC. The series is created by Korsh who is expected to executive produce alongsideDavid Bartis,Doug Liman, Gene Klein, and Mahoney.[1] Production companies involved with the series are Hypnotic andUniversal Content Productions.[16] On August 7, 2024, it was reported that the character Ted Black was inspired by Ted Chervin, a CAA agent and former managing director of ICM Partners.[17]

Casting

In February 2024,Stephen Amell,Josh McDermitt,Lex Scott Davis were cast to star.[18][19][20] In March 2024,Bryan Greenberg was cast as a series regular, withTroy Winbush andAlice Lee joining the cast as guest stars, but are set to be recurring if the pilot is picked to series.[21][22][23] On April 18, 2024,John Amos,Victoria Justice, andKevin Weisman were cast to guest star.[5] In November 2024, it was announced thatGabriel Macht would reprise his role asHarvey Specter in a recurring capacity while Rachelle Goulding andAzita Ghanizada joined the cast in recurring roles.[24][25] On December 10, 2024,Maggie Grace,Matt Letscher,Sofia Pernas, and Carson A. Egan were cast to guest star.[4] On March 5, 2025,Rick Hoffman was cast to reprise his role asLouis Litt.[6]

Filming

On August 1, 2024, it was reported that production for series had been moved fromVancouver toLos Angeles. The pilot was filmed in Vancouver.[26]

Broadcast

Suits LA premiered on February 23, 2025, onNBC.[2] In Canada, the series is set to air onCTV, and will be available to stream the next day onCrave.[27]

The review aggregator websiteRotten Tomatoes reported a 39% approval rating with an average rating of 5.2/10, based on 33 critic reviews. The website's critics consensus reads, "Larded with gloomy backstory,Suits LA dresses like the original article but lacks the acumen to make a case for itself."[28]Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned a score of 49 out of 100 based on 8 critics, indicating "mixed or average" reviews.[29]
