Sufe Bradshaw (/ˈsuːfi/SOO-fee;[1] born November 30, 1979) is an Americanactress, best known for her role as Sue, thesecretary andscheduler to Vice PresidentSelina Meyer, in theHBO comedy seriesVeep.[2] Her prior acting credits include guest roles inPrison Break,Mind of Mencia,Southland,Cold Case andFlashForward, as well as a minor role in the 2009 feature filmStar Trek.
Sufe Bradshaw was born on November 30, 1979 on theWest Side ofChicago,Illinois, where she was raised. She has nine siblings.[1]
Bradshaw has also worked as a documentary filmmaker. Her projectNew Leaves, currently in development, examines children growing up in impoverished or underprivileged urban neighborhoods.[1] She has also performed as aspoken word poet, and does humanitarian and activist work for groups includingOne Billion Rising and the Greenway Art Alliance.[3]
Bradshaw played Sue Wilson, the secretary to the Vice President in the HBO comedy seriesVeep for the show's first five seasons.[2] She did not appear in the show's sixth season as a result of developing aglucose issue.[4] She appeared in the final episode of the seventh and final season, returning as Meyer's secretary in theWhite House after the character is elected.[5]
