Thesubthalamic fasciculus is a bi-directionalnerve tract that interconnects thelateral globus pallidus andsubthalamic nucleus as part of theindirect pathway. The pallidal efferents areGABAergic, but also containenkephalin. Its fibers interweave perpendicularly among the fibers of theinternal capsule.[1]
