Zambia is divided into tenprovinces (since 2012),[1][2] each administered by an appointedprovincial minister. Each province is divided into severaldistricts with a total of 116 districts in the nation (since 2016).[3][4] Each district contains one or severalconstituencies with a total of 156 constituencies in the nation (since 2016).[5] Each constituency contains several wards with a total of 1624 wards in the nation (since 2016).[6][3][5]

Each constituency is divided into severalwards, with a total number of 1624 wards in the nation as of theAugust 2016 election. Each ward is represented by acouncillor.[3][5][6]
