Suaasat (Greenlandic pronunciation:[suaːsat]) is a traditionalGreenlandic soup. It is traditionally made fromseal meat, but can also be made fromwhale,caribou, orseabirds.

The soup often includesonions andpotatoes and is simply seasoned withsalt,black pepper, andbay leaves. The soup is often thickened with rice or by soaking barley in the water overnight so that the starches leach into the water.
