Storm Chandler Duck (born December 15, 2000) is an American professionalfootballcornerback for theMiami Dolphins of theNational Football League (NFL). He played college football atNorth Carolina andLouisville.

Early life

Duck is the son of Phyllis and Todd Duck.[1] He was named afterStorm Logan, a character on the soap operaThe Bold and the Beautiful.[2] He grew up inGreenville, South Carolina, and moved toSpartanburg when he was seven.[2] He played three years as a starting cornerback atBoiling Springs High School.[3] In the state playoff semifinals as a sophomore, he intercepted a would-be game-winningtouchdown and broke up a similartwo-point conversion to put his team in the title game.[2] He was a three-star recruit in the class of 2019 and committed toNorth Carolina over offers fromAppalachian State,Army,Campbell, andCharleston Southern.[2]

College career

Duck made his first start for North Carolina on September 28, 2019, against No.Clemson, and made 13 appearances with 9 starts as a freshman.[2][3] He missed much of the next two seasons due to injury.[3] In the2022 season, he led the Tar Heels ininterceptions and passes defended and was named to the All-ACC second team.[3] He transferred toLouisville after initially committing toPenn State.[4]

Duck signed as anundrafted free agent with theMiami Dolphins on April 27, 2024.[6][7] He made the initial53-man roster on August 27, 2024.[8]
