Steven Shavell is aneconomist who is currently Samuel R. Rosenthal Professor ofLaw and Economics atHarvard Law School . Shavell is the founder and director of the School's John M. Olin Center for Law, Economics, and Business.[ 1]
Steven Shavell graduated from theUniversity of Michigan in 1968. He obtained a Ph.D. in economics fromMIT in 1973. Shavell is working on the economic analysis of law, including topics such ascontracts ,torts ,property ,criminal law , andlegal process . He was aGuggenheim Fellow .
