Steven Lee Olsen (born November 25, 1985) is a Canadiancountry music artist and songwriter. He is best known for his singles "Raised by a Good Time" and "Outta Yours", as well as for co-writing theGrammy-nominated single "Blue Ain't Your Color" byKeith Urban.

Olsen has also written songs for singers such asCraig Morgan,Garth Brooks,Dallas Smith,Rascal Flatts,The Judds,Kip Moore, andKevin Borg.[1][2]

Career

He released his debut single "Now" in 2009, which was included on his 2009 debut albumIntroducing Steven Lee Olsen, released on RGK Records, . He followed his debut single with the release of another single "Make Hay While the Sun Shines". Olsen toured in the 2009CMT on Tour Live show, along withJason Blaine,Tara Oram andThe Higgins.[3]

In April 2014, Olsen signed withColumbia Nashville.[4] Later that year, he released his major-label debut single, "Raised by a Good Time", which was certified Gold byMusic Canada in August 2015. He released the albumTiming Is Everything on his own label SLO Circus Records in 2018.[5]

In 2021, Olsen signed a joint record deal withUniversal Music Canada and The Core Entertainment,[6] and released the extended playRelationship Goals,[7] which included the 2021CFL Song of the Year, "What You're Made Of".[8] In early 2023, he released the single "Outta Yours" and joined the Canadian leg ofOld Dominion's "No Bad Vibes Tour" as an opening act.[9][10] "Outta Yours" would chart on theCanadian Hot 100, marking a return to the chart for Olsen after nine years.[11]

In July 2023, Olsen made his debut performance at theGrand Ole Opry inNashville, Tennessee.[12] In August 2023, he released the single "Out Here" concurrently with the announcement of his new distribution deal withindependent label Starseed Records.[13] He followed that up with "Bigger Than This Town" in April 2024, which is slated to be included on an album of the same name.[14] In early 2025, Olsen is set to embark on his headlining "Country Night in Canada" tour across Canada, withJoJo Mason as the opening act.[15]
