Steven Joseph Zaloga (born February 1, 1952) is an American author and defense consultant. He received abachelor's degreecum laude atUnion College and amaster's degree atColumbia University, both inhistory.[3]
Zaloga is a senior analyst at the Teal Group.[4]
He has published many books dealing with modern military technology, and especiallySoviet andCIS tanks andarmoured warfare.[5] He is also a notedscale armor modeler and is a host/moderator of theWorld War II Allied Discussion group at Missing-Lynx.com, amodelling website.[6] He is a frequent contributor to the UK-based modeling magazineMilitary Modelling. He is a member of theArmor Modeling and Preservation Society.
Steve received his BA in history cum laude from Union College, Schenectady, NY, and an MA in history from Columbia University. He performed graduate research at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
