Steve Gaisford is a British former news presenter who primarily worked forSky News .[2]
In September 2009, Gaisford launched a new company Chloros which focuses on using well-known faces as online web presenters.[3]
Gaisford's on-screen career began when he becameFive's first-weekend sports presenter before moving on to work forGMTV andITV'sLondon Tonight programme.[4]
Gaisford worked for nine years atSky News and is best known for anchoring the weekendSky News Sunrise programme withEmma Crosby from October 2005 through to his departure from the channel in April 2007. He presented news and sports programmes for theSky network, initially appearing in 1998 onSky Sports News.[2]
Gaisford has covered many breaking news stories, including theAsian tsunami, The death ofPope John Paul II and theMadrid train bombings and from the world of sport including the live media circus that wasDavid Beckham signing forReal Madrid.[4]
After leavingSky News, Gaisford became a regular face on ITV, presenting theITV News at 5:30 and still anchorsITV London'sLondon Tonight weekend news programmes worked alongside former Sky colleagueBarbara Serra onAl Jazeera English. Gaisford also hosted 'The Breakfast Show' each weekday morning alongsideAli Douglas on theSetanta Sports News channel until the channel closed in June 2009.
He currently works as Communications Lead at theMinderoo Foundation.[2]
Gaisford is the brother ofGood Morning Britain's chief correspondentRichard Gaisford.[4]
