Stephen Uppal (born 1978) is an English actor ofIndian descent fromOrmesby inMiddlesbrough.[1] He is known for playingRavi Roy in the long-running British soapHollyoaks, Zaf in the 2009 filmFreight, and also for playing characters inThe History Boys atWyndham's Theatre.[1]
Uppal gained a qualification in English at theUniversity of Teesside before winning a place atArts Educational School where he performed many roles which included Arthur inPeggy Sue Got Married, Smike inNicholas Nickleby and Neville inThe Mystery of Edwin Drood.[2]
