Stephen Rider (born September 25, 1979) is an American film and television actor. He is known for playing AdmiralStephen W. Rochon in the filmThe Butler (2013), Eric Millworth in the ABC seriesLucky 7 (2014) andBlake Tower in theMarvel Cinematic Universe seriesDaredevil andLuke Cage (both 2016–2018).

Rider was discovered byDenzel Washington in a play in 2006, and Washington brought him into his 2007 biographical drama filmThe Great Debaters, which was Rider's feature film debut.^[1]

In 2013, Rider played the role of Seeker Reed in the science fiction filmThe Host and later played the role of AdmiralStephen W. Rochon in the historical dramaThe Butler.^[1] Rider played the role of Eric Millworth in theABC drama seriesLucky 7.^[1] He also starred in the filmAlpha Alert, also known asEvent 15.^[1]

In 2015, Rider appeared in theShowtime comedy seriesShameless as G-Dog.^[2] He also starred as Eli Cunningham in theCBS comedy seriesBattle Creek.^[3]

Rider appeared in thesecond season ofNetflix's seriesDaredevil based onMarvel Comics, asBlake Tower, an Assistant District Attorney for New York City.^[4]
