Stephen Fewell is a British actor[1] who portraysJason Kane in the audio adventures ofBernice Summerfield. He has also appeared in classical theatre, in variousDoctor Whoaudio productions, an episode of the 2005Channel 4 dramaThe Courtroom,Headlong Theatre's production ofParadise Lost[2] at theHackney Empire and in the musical playENRON[3] at theRoyal Court and in theWest End.

Career

He has written short stories: three forDoctor Who and one forBernice Summerfield anthologies.[4]

He originated the role of Charrington[5] in the originalHeadlong Theatre production ofGeorge Orwell's1984.[6]

In September and October 2012, he playedAlan Turing atThe English Theatre Frankfurt inHugh Whitemore's biographical playBreaking the Code.[7]

In 2019 he played theScofield/McKellen role of Pierre inVenice Preserv'd for theRSC[8] and he appeared asPope Clement V in theHistory ChannelKnight's Templar dramaKnightfall.[9]

Also in 2019, he appeared asGrey in theNetflix filmThe King.[10]

He is also known as founder and chair of the James Menzies-Kitchin Trust,[11] which has launched the careers of many leading UK theatre directors, including;Thea Sharrock,Polly Findlay,Bijan Sheibani,Joe Hill-Gibbins, andNatalie Abrahami.[citation needed]

In 2022 he appeared inPatriots at theAlmeida Theatre.[12]
