Stefan Zierke (born 5 December 1970) is a German politician of theSocial Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of theBundestag from the state ofBrandenburg since 2013.
Zierke became a member of the Bundestag in the2013 German federal election, representing theUckermark – Barnim I district. In parliament, he was a member of the Committee on Tourism and the Committee on Transport and Digital Infrastructure from 2013 until 2017.
From 2018 until 2021, Zierke served as Parliamentary State Secretary at theFederal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth under successive ministersFranziska Giffey andChristine Lambrecht in the government ofChancellorAngela Merkel.[1]
Since the2021 elections, Zierke has been serving as his parliamentary group’s spokesperson for tourism.[2]
