Stefan Brink (born 1952) is a Swedish philologist affiliated with theDepartment of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, University of Cambridge.
Stefan Brink received his PhD inNordic languages fromUppsala University in 1990. He was made adocent at Uppsala University in 1991, specializing intoponymy. He has been a visiting professor atHarvard University, theUniversity of California, Los Angeles,Aarhus University and theUniversity of Bergen. He is an Honorary Research Associate at theDepartment of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, University of Cambridge and formerly the Sixth Century Chair ofScandinavian Studies at theUniversity of Aberdeen.
Brink is the editor of the journalsViking and Medieval Scandinavia and the academic seriesActa Scandinavica. He is a member of theRoyal Gustavus Adolphus Academy, theRoyal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities and theRoyal Society of Edinburgh.[1]
