Steeve Farid Yago (born 16 December 1992) is a professionalfootballer who plays as adefender forCypriot First Division clubAris Limassol. Born in France, he represents theBurkina Faso national team.[2]
Yago represented Burkina Faso in the2021 AFCON tournament inCameroon.[3]
Yago made his firstLigue 1 appearance forToulouse on 25 August 2012, in a 0–1 win overNancy, at the age of 19.
On 31 January 2019, the last day of the 2018–19 winter transfer window, Yago joinedLigue 2 sideLe Havre on loan until the end of the season.[4]
On 1 July 2021, he joinedAris Limassol in Cyprus.[5]
He received his first call-up to theBurkina Faso national team on 23 March 2013, in a 4-0 win againstNiger, a match that waspart of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Series.[6]
He went on to represent Burkina Faso at the2015 Africa Cup of Nations and again at the2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
He also participated in the2021 Africa Cup of Nations, which was held in 2022, where Burkina Faso finished fourth, losing toCameroon, the host country.
On December 20, 2023, he was selected from the list of 27 Burkinabé players selected byHubert Velud to compete in the2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
