AStabsführer (translated as Staff Leader) served as a deputy to the leader ofHitler Youth,National Socialist Flyers Corps,National Socialist Motor Corps orSturmabteilung. It was furthermore aHitler Youth paramilitary rank held by the senior most member of the Adult Leadership Corps.
TheSS-Oberabschnitt (major districts) andSS-Abschnitt (sub districts) of theAllgemeine SS each had their ownStabsführer to head certain staff of the district. In theSS-Abschnitt they were often the de facto leader.[1]
