St. James' School,Kolkata, India, is aCNI school, and is one of the oldestprivate schools in India. It was founded on 25 July in 1864 byBishop Cotton,[1] and celebrated its sesquicentenary (150 years) in July 2014. It is an all boys school[2] and is associated with theICSE and ISC Board of Education.[1]The school has four houses which are Cotton, Copleston, Lefroy, and Westcott, each named after an English Bishop who served in India in the 19th century.In 1900, hockey team of St. James' School won the prestigiousBeighton Cup title.[3][4]
