Sri Lanka Freedom Socialist Party was apolitical party inSri Lanka. SLFSP was formed in 1964 byC. P. de Silva when he broke away from theSri Lanka Freedom Party. In the 1965 elections, SLFSP contested in coalition with theUnited National Party.[1] In total SLFSP had 32 candidates, who received a total of 130 429 votes (3.2% of the nationwide vote).[2] Five MPs were elected from the party.[3] SLFSP joined the coalition government led by UNP.[4]

SLFSP amalgamated theLanka Prajathanthravadi Pakshaya. Soon thereafter SLFSP merged into UNP.[citation needed]
