Sport1 (German:Sport Eins) is a Germanfree-to-airtelevision channel centred towards sports programming, as well asteleshopping.[1] It was launched on 1 January 1993 asDSF (Deutsches Sportfernsehen), replacing the television channelTele 5 which had become the successor of the music video channelMusicbox on 11 January 1988. The channel took its current name on 11 April 2010.
