This is not a forum for grievances. It is a specific noticeboard addressing Bureaucrat-related issues. If you want to know more about an action by a particular bureaucrat, you should first raise the matter with them on their talk page. Please stay on topic, remaincivil, and remember toassume good faith. Take extraneous comments or threads to relevant talk pages.
If you are here to report that an RFA or an RFB is "overdue" or "expired",please wait at least 12 hours from the scheduled end time before making a post here about it. There are a fair number of active bureaucrats; and an eye is being kept on the time remaining on these discussions. Thank you for your patience.

I would like to be able to edit extended-protected pages

Not an issue for Bureaucrats' noticeboard. Referred elsewhere.
I am requesting permission to be able to edit "extended-protected" pages. I have been editing Wikipedia for a very long time, however I do not yet have 500 edits. I mainly do edits when I see mistakes, etc. in pages that I am reading, plus I work on references and fix link rot. Today, I wanted to edit theUkraine page, but I discovered that I cannot. --Ubh[talk...contribs...]08:36, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have a question for you because I have no idea where to ask this... I was reviewing my own contributions to Wikipedia and I was trying to look at edits I have done that were deleted to see what edits those were and to understand why they were deleted. However, it said that I could not see that information because I didn't have permission.[1] I think it would be beneficial for editors to be able to see why their edits were deleted. Where could I ask for a change in that policy so that the edits that are deleted are viewable by the person who made the edits? I think people should be able to review most stuff related to their own accounts. --Ubh[talk...contribs...]11:06, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In the future, questions can be asked atWP:TEAHOUSE. The answer to this specific question is that mediawiki software feature requests should go onhttps://phabricator.wikimedia.org. It's a decent idea and probably worthy of a phabricator ticket. In fact a ticket may exist exist already. Try searching on phabricator for "Special:DeletedContributions should show non admins their own edits" or something similar. –Novem Linguae(talk)11:11, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have not had any time to edit in any meaningful manner over the past few years. Can you please remove the admin bit from my account? Thanks.Woody (talk)18:59, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
