Sparr is anunincorporated community inMarion County,Florida, United States, located near the intersection ofCounty Road 200A andCounty Road 329. The community is part of theOcalaMetropolitan Statistical Area.

History

A post office called Sparr has been in operation since 1882.[1] The place was originally named after Daniel Souter, a local land owner.[2]

Within a year after establishment thePeninsula Railroad (nowCSX Transportation'sWildwood Subdivision) which ran fromWaldo toOcala was built through the community.
