TheRussian ambassador to the United States is the official representative of thepresident of the Russian Federation and theRussian government to thepresident of the United States and theUnited States government. The ambassador's official title is theambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the United States of America.

The ambassador and his staff work at large in theEmbassy of Russia inWashington, D.C.[1] The ambassador to the United States is concurrently appointed as the Russian representative to theOrganization of American States.[2] Theambassador's residence is located at 112516th Street Northwest.[3] Russia also maintainsconsulates generalin New York andHouston.Alexander Darchiev is the current ambassador, serving since 6 March 2025.
