TheSous River, Sus River orSouss River (Berber:Asif en Sus, Arabic: واد سوس) is a river in mid-southernMorocco located in theSous region. It originates in theHigh Atlas and flows west passingAoulouz,Taroudannt,Oulad Teima,Inezgane andAït Melloul. It forms a basin which is protected from the desertic climate of theSahara by theAnti-Atlas mountains and is one of Morocco's most fertile regions.[1]
TheAoulouz Dam is the main dam on this river.
