Sophie Isaacs (born 20 September 1988) is an English stage actress and singer.[1] She is known for portraying the role of Heather McNamara inHeathers: The Musical atThe Other Palace andTheatre Royal Haymarket and for portrayingKatherine Howard inSix at theArts Theatre,Lyric Theatre andVaudeville Theatre.[2]

Career

Isaacs started out her professional acting career after graduating from theLondon School of Musical Theatre (located inElephant & Castle) in 2009[3] and then starred in bothHope at theBridewell Theatre andZombie Prom at theLandor Theatre,[4] before starring inBritish soap operaHollyoaks as character 'Molly Montgomery' in 2010. She then went on to star in the UK touring production ofLegally Blonde: The Musical in 2011, portraying 'Margot' andunderstudying the principal role ofElle Woods and in 2014, she portrayed the role of Amber Von Tussle in a production of musicalHairspray inSingapore andKuala Lumpur.[4] Isaacs then starred in theWest End productions of bothMade in Dagenham in 2014,[5] andKinky Boots in 2015-2016,[4] both at theAdephi Theatre, as well as then portrayed the role of 'Janet Weiss' in the European touring production ofThe Rocky Horror Show. Isaacs then went on to play the role of Heather McNamara in the original West End production ofHeathers: The Musical atThe Other Palace andTheatre Royal Haymarket, before portraying 'Goldilocks' in thepantomimeGoldilocks & The Three Bears at theLondon Palladium.[6] Isaacs has appeared in the West End production ofSix alongside principal cast membersJarnéia Richard-Noel,Courtney Bowman,Natalie Paris,Alexia McIntosh andDanielle Steers.Six was one of the first musical to return to theWest End after theCOVID-19 pandemic. Isaacs was part ofSix when the show moved to the nearbyVaudeville Theatre.[7] She also starred in a principal role inPantoland at The Palladium at the afore mentionedLondon Palladium from December 2021 to January 2022.[8]
