TheSony Xperia J is anAndroidsmartphone fromSony. It was launched at theIFA 2012 inBerlin. It is also known as Sony ST26i.[2]
Xperia J is the firstSony Mobile device alongside theXperia V that does not feature the Sony Ericsson's liquid energy logo afterSony acquiredEricsson's stake in Sony Ericsson in February 2012.[3] The display is protected byCorningGorilla Glass.[4] It is available in black, gold, pink and white.[4] It measures 124.3 mm × 61.2 mm × 9.2 mm and weighs 124 grams.[4]
Xperia J has a 4.0 in (100 mm) touchscreen with 480×854 resolution, aQualcommSnapdagon S1system-on-chip with 1 GHz single coreCortex-A5 CPU andAdreno 200 GPU,[7] a 5-megapixel rear camera, 512 MB ofRAM, 4 GB ofinternal storage which can be extended up to 32 GB by amicroSD/HC card, and a 1750 mAh battery.[4][8][9]
Xperia J runs onAndroid 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.[4][9] Sony updated this device forAndroid 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on 7 March 2013, which it lists as the "latest and final version" of the operating system.
