The Sonata 8 is a small recreationalkeelboat, built predominantly offiberglass, with wood trim. It has afractionalsloop rig, a transom-hungrudder and a lifting or optionally fixed finkeel. It displaces 2,822 lb (1,280 kg) and carries 500 lb (227 kg) of ballast.[1][4]
