Solapur Super Thermal Power Station is under construction located at Fatatewadi and Aherwadi village inSolapur district in Indian state ofMaharashtra. The power plant is one of thecoal based power plants ofNational Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPCL).[1][2]
The water for the power project will be sourced from reservoir ofUjjani Dam onBhima River.[3]
The power station has a planned capacity of 1320 MW (2x660 MW).[4] The first unit of Solapur SuperThermal power station was commissioned and declared commercial on 25 September 2017.[5]
