TheSokollu Mehmed Pasha Mosque (Turkish:Sokollu Mehmet Paşa Camii) is a 16th-centuryOttomanmosque located in the town ofLüleburgaz in theKırklareli Province of northwestern Turkey.[1]
The mosque was commissioned by thegrand vizierSokollu Mehmed Pasha (in office 1565–1579) and designed by the imperial architectMimar Sinan. It was built between 1565 and 1569-70 and forms part of a large complex that includes amedrese (theological school), a hospice and a caravansarai.[1][2]
