Andre Dontrel Burt Jr. (born October 3, 2001), better known by hisstage nameSoFaygo (formerly stylized as$ofaygo), is an American rapper and singer. His 2019 single, "Knock Knock", went viral onTikTok in late 2020 before it receivedplatinum certification by theRecording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[3][4] The following year, he guest appeared onTrippie Redd's song "MP5", which marked his first entry on theBillboard Hot 100. He signed with fellow rapperTravis Scott'sCactus Jack Records to release his debut studio album,Pink Heartz (2022).[5]

2018–2019: Beginnings

Burt recorded his first song at nine years old in a friend's basement.[6][4] He began to pursue music more seriously in his teenage years, while attendingEtowah High School. Burt went by the stage name Trvllinese prior to releasing the EPWe Are Aliens in 2018.[7]

Burt released his debut mixtapeWar in 2019.[8] Soon after, he began amassing a local fanbase. This popularity led him to be discovered byTaz Taylor, the founder of the record label Internet Money, who offered to sign him to the label.[9] Burt traveled to Los Angeles to consider this offer, but declined.[9] Burt had already befriended rapperLil Tecca, and the two began writing songs together.[6]

2020–2022: "Knock Knock" andPink Heartz

In February 2021, Burt had signed toTravis Scott's labelCactus Jack Records, which includes other popular rappers such asSheck Wes andDon Toliver.[10][9][11] In June 2021, Burt appeared onGenius's web seriesOpen Mic to perform his single "Knock Knock".[12]

On August 20, 2021, SoFaygo was featured onTrippie Redd's album,Trip at Knight, on the song "MP5".[13] On September 1, 2021, he released the song "Let's Lose Our Minds", being the lead single forPink Heartz and his first release under Cactus Jack since his signing.[14][15] On October 8, SoFaygo was featured on labelmateDon Toliver's albumLife of a Don, on the track "Smoke".[16]

Just a month later, on July 15, 2022, his reportedly leaked EPBabyjack appeared exclusively onSoundCloud, under the account 'prettyboyarchive'.[17] On October 17, 2022, four songs from his debut albumPink Heartz were released, with a feature fromKen Carson. He announced the November 11 release date for the album on the same day.[18] SoFaygo signed a recording contract with Def Jam in 2024 and is set to release his upcoming second studio albumA Lil Kid Faygo.

2023-Present

On June 14 of 2023, SoFaygo dropped an EP calledGO+, the year after that, he released Precision featuringDon Toliver and Life So Crazy, nearing the end of 2024, SoFaygo releases anSoundCloud exclusive EP calledPressure.
