Smołdzino[smɔu̯ˈd͡ʑinɔ] (German:Schmolsin) is avillage inSłupsk County,Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It is the seat of thegmina (administrative district) calledGmina Smołdzino.
Before 1945 the area ofFarther Pomerania, where the village is located, was a part ofGermany.[2][3] On March 8, 1945, the region was conquested by theRed Army, and after the end ofWorld War II the local populace wasexpelled to West Germany and the town and district became part ofPoland as Powiat słupski.
