Smečice (pronounced[ˈsmeːtʃitsɛ]) is a small settlement in the hills west ofKrško in easternSlovenia. The area is part of the traditional region ofLower Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in theLower Sava Statistical Region.[2]
There is a smallchapel-shrine in the settlement. It is dedicated to theHoly Family and was built in the late 19th century.[3]
