TheSlovene diaspora include an autochtonousSlovene minority in Italy, estimated at 83,000 – 100,000,[1] aSlovene minority in southern Austria at 24,855,in Croatia at 13,200, and aSlovene minority in Hungary at 3,180.[2]

A significant Slovene expatriate community lives in theUnited States (most notablyGreater Cleveland, home to the highest concentration outside Europe[3] with estimated between 50,000 - 80,000,[3][4] and largest number of Slovene speakers in the country).[5] And in other European countries,in Argentina,Brazil,Venezuela,Australia,Canada and theUnited Kingdom.
