Slawharad district orSlaŭharad district[2] (Belarusian:Слаўгарадскі раён;Russian:Славгородский район,romanized: Slavgorodsky raion) is adistrict (raion) ofMogilev region inBelarus. The administrative center is the town ofSlawharad. As of 2009, its population was 14,888. The population of Slawharad accounts for 53.7% of the district's population.[3]
As a result of theChernobyl disaster, part of the district's territory became contaminated, and the inhabitants were resettled. In the area, several settlements remained uninhabited.[4]
