Sky Gates Airlines is a Russiancargo andpassengercharter airline which operates principally out ofZhukovsky andSheremetyevo airports inMoscow, Russia, where it was also headquartered.[1][2][3][4]

History

In October 2016, Sky Gates commenced domestic and international services from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport using a leasedBoeing 747-400F aircraft.[5]

Sky Gates Airlines suspended all operations on in February 2022 due to sanctions[6] with plans to restart services in the foreseeable future.[7]

In March 2022, Azerbaijan-basedSilk Way West Airlines took over both of Sky Gates' aircraft.[6] In the same month, the operating certificate of the airline was suspended at its request.[8]

In August 2023, the airline was bought out byRed Wings Airlines, and in December of the same year operations were restarted.[9]
