Skalice is a municipality and village inTábor District in theSouth Bohemian Region of theCzech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants.
Skalice lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) south ofTábor, 41 km (25 mi) north-east ofČeské Budějovice, and 89 km (55 mi) south ofPrague.
