Sippy Pallippuram is an Indian writer of children's literature inMalayalam who has won several awards includingKendra Sahitya Akademi Award[1] andKerala Sahitya Akademi Award.
His novel about the memories ofKunjunni MashOridathoru Kunjunni won the national award for children's literature by Kendra Sahitya Akademi.[2] His bookUnnikalkku Noottiyettu Gurudeva Kathakal received theKerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Children's Literature in 2013.[3] A teacher by profession, he has over 80 (as of 2008)[4] poetries and stories to his credit in the children's category ofMalayalam literature. Sippy has been into children's literature for more than four decades.[2]
He is a native ofPallippuram,Vypeen,Ernakulam,Kerala, and was born on 18 May 1943in aLatin Catholics of Malabar family and belongs to theDiocese of Kottapuram.[5]
